The trailer for Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s upcoming coronavirus movie Locked Down has dropped, and we’re kind of obsessed.
You’d think after living through a pandemic that we’d want nothing to do with coronavirus being played out in cinema, but we’re not so sure.
Anne and Chiwetel play a couple whose relationship has gone south after being locked down together.
However, things get all the more interesting when they attempt a diamond heist in the middle of Harrods – as you do.
The deja vu is real when the trailer kicks off with Paxton’s (Chiwetel) assessment of lockdown: ‘We are all locked in this psychological prison of burning aloneness’.
Paxton and Linda’s (Anne) cabin fever starts to get the better of them, as she struggles with the guilt of having to fire employees, and he gets furloughed.

At the moment when things start to get desperate, they begin a plot to steal a diamond from Harrods in London, with Paxton saying; ‘You’re talking about stealing a diamond. £3 million. Live wild or die, Linda.’
‘Harrods is the most glamorous store in the world,’ Linda asserts. ‘I know all the security guards, I know the security systems.’

Anne and Chiwetel are joined by the likes of Stephen Merchant, Mindy Kaling and Ben Kingsley for the HBO Max flick – although character details still seem to be mostly under wraps.
Consider us intrigued.
The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind actor Chiwetel has got a whole host of projects coming up, including appearing in upcoming Marvel flick Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Meanwhile, Anne is turning her hand to drama The Lifeboat, which follows a young woman on trial for murder as she recounts the tale of how she survived a shipwreck at sea.
Locked Down is set for release on HBO Max on March 5.
