Cardi B has shown some love to her pal Teyana Taylor after her announcement she will be ‘retiring’ from music.
Singer Teyana, who welcomed her second child with husband Iman Shumpert in September, said on Instagram she feels ‘constantly over looked’ in the industry and appears to have hinted she will be making a career change.
She posted a screen shot of how many people had listened to her music on Spotify in 2020 and thanked her fans for supporting her this far.
‘I ain’t gone front in times of feeling super under appreciated as a artist, receiving little to no real push from the “machine”, constantly getting the shorter end of the stick, being overlooked, I mean the list on and on lol,’ she wrote.
‘I’m retiring this chapter of my story with the comfort that i can depart with peace of mind seeing that all the hard work & passion put in was indeed loved & supported somewhere in the world!’
The Bodak Yellow rapper reacted to the news on Twitter, paying tribute to the ‘talented’ songwriter.

Further on in her lengthy message, the Gonna Love Me singer looked forward to new opportunities.
She continued: ‘To all my supporters from day 1 & all my new ones I love you and I thank you for everything & don’t worry y’all know…all hustlers have the understanding that when one door closes another will open…either that or I’m pickin da locks petunia!!! So wassup.’
The model and dancer released her latest album, The Album, in June this year.
