Matt was born in London on April 8, 1989, making him 31 years old.
He is the lead singer and guitarist of Brit-award-winning band, The 1975.
The band formed when he and his bandmates – Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel – attended Wilmslow High School in Cheshire.
Healy credits the likes of Michael Jackson, Talking Heads and My Bloody Valentine as some of the band’s musical influences.

When did he start dating FKA Twigs?
FKA Twigs and frontman Matty allegedly started dating early in 2020 according to People.
The two were spotted cuddling up after the NME Awards in London in February.
Healey even uploaded an Instagram shot of the pair after the event.

In a scathing lawsuit, filed on December 11 2020, FKA Twigs accused LaBeouf of choking her, giving her an STD, and “sexual battery.”

While Healy achieved fame in his own right, his parents are familiar faces on our TV screens.
She previously opened up about the band’s ballad, She Lays Down, which she says was written about her battle with postnatal depression and drug use.
Healy’s dad Tim is also a TV legend, having starred in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Benidorm.

What controversies has Matt been involved in?
On several occasions, the singer has spoken out about political and current affairs on stage; during the band’s Detroit gig in 2017 he commented on the Manchester Arena attack.
The singer said to the crowd: “We’re from Manchester and where we used to hang out, the actual place that we used to hang out, someone put a bomb in there tonight and then killed a bunch of kids that were going to a f****** show in Manchester.”
In 2017 The 1975’s Brit Awards performance was interjected by negative reviews that critics had given them in the past.
Matt urged celebrities and other artists not to “stay in your lanes” during his acceptance speech, saying they should do more with their influence and position.
Then at the 2019 Brits Matt took aim at misogyny in the music industry.
Speaking for the band, he quoted words from a friend of the band, music journalist Laura Snapes, asking viewers to “really, really think about” her words.
He said: “I just want you to listen to me for one sec. I just thought you should all really, really think about it
“A friend of ours, Laura Snapes, said this: In music male misogyny acts are examined for nuance and defended as traits of difficult artists, and those who [criticise] them as hysterical people who don’t understand art.”
