Speaking to the actors over video chat, RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Ross thanked them for ‘making a show that feels so modern’, the pair having portrayed leads Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings in the steamy period drama.
He then added that he’s also grateful to the programme ‘for really turning our engines back on if you know what I mean’.
‘It’s true!’ Drew added. ‘I got back on a dating app during Bridgerton! I was like “I’m not dead, I’m not dead!” For me that was a big step.’
Both Phoebe and Regé-Jean appeared taken aback by Drew’s admission, with Phoebe stating: ‘I love that.’

Regé-Jean, on the other hand, replied: ‘I didn’t know that that was the most we were going to turn on, but hit it!’
Drew previously said that she hasn’t been on a date since her divorce from ex-husband Will Kopelman, who she was married to from 2012 until 2016.
‘I’m not closed for business. But I have been exactly in that mentality for the past five years, thinking I just don’t have the bandwidth, I don’t know if I’m willing to open [up,] I just can’t fit it in,’ she said.
In 2018, the 50 First Dates actor revealed she had sworn off dating sites.
‘I got off [dating apps]. It was fun to try though. I’ve been working out there in the public since I was young so that myth of the blind date eluded me and I always wanted to do it so that was like a dating app for me,’ she said at the time.
‘But then it’s not blind on my side so it just, I don’t know, doesn’t work.’
Nonetheless, thanks to the dazzling world of Bridgerton, Drew has since changed her tune!
Bridgerton is available to watch on Netflix.
