Viewers are in for a treat tonight as the brand-new drama BBC drama Inside Man is set to have you by the edge of your seat.
The official synopsis reads: ‘In the US, a prisoner on death row is seeking atonement as he faces execution. On a train in England, a journalist is looking for a story.
‘In a quiet little village, a vicar is picking up his son’s maths tutor from the station. All four are about to be entangled in a dilemma that could lead one of them to murder.’
The drama was created by showrunner Steven Moffat, the same mastermind behind Doctor Who and Sherlock, and although the outline doesn’t give too much away, the four-parter has been described as ‘fiendishly clever’ and promises to keep ‘the nation gripped.’

David Tennant, 51, is very familiar with the drama due to his long list of credits including his starring roles in Des and Broadchurch.
The Tenth Doctor plays Harry Watling, a local vicar who finds himself going to extreme lengths to protect his son.
Speaking about his character’s complexity, David said: ‘Part of the joy of watching the show is wondering if these worlds are ever going to collide.
‘But from my character’s point of view, it’s a story about a man who, in pursuit of doing the right thing, makes a series of catastrophically bad decisions.’

We’re used to seeing Stanley Tucci playing comical roles in comedies including Easy A and Maid in Manhattan, but fans should expect to see the 61-year-old in a new light.
The Devil Wears Prada movie star plays Jefferson Grieff, a quick-witted, crime-solving wifewiller who is currently on death row.
While Stanley was blown away by the script, he also revealed there was a certain someone who convinced him to be part of the thriller.
‘What attracted me to the project was the group of people assembled,’ he said.
‘Steven Moffat, director Paul McGuigan who I had worked with before, and I love Steven’s writing. I think David Tennant is just a great, great actor.’

It’s A Sin actress Lydia West is certainly worlds away from the beloved Pink Palace in this new series.
The 29-year-old plays investigative journalist Beth Davenport who specialises in crime reporting.
Lydia is best known for her roles in the miniseries Dracula, BBC’s Years and Years, and recently appeared in Suspicion and Netflix’s The Pentaverate.

Dolly Wells stars as maths tutor Janice Fife in the BBC series.
The 50-year-old actress is best known for her roles in The Pursuit Of Love, Dracula, and Can You Ever Forgive Me.
Other notable names include Lyndsey Marshal, (Mary Watling).
Writer Steven’s son Louis Oliver also has a recurring role as Ben Watling, Harry and Mary’s son.
Serial killer Dillon Kempton (Atkins Estimond) completes the cast and features as Jefferson’s (Stanley) cell mate.
Praising the star-studded cast, creator Steven said: ‘This is the best ensemble we’ve ever had the chance to work with. It’s a rare privilege to see scripts come to life as beautifully as this.’
The hour-long episode starts tonight at 9pm on BBC One, and the second chapter continues on Tuesday, September 27.
Inside Man airs on Monday September 26 at 9pm on BBC One.
