Georgia, from Essex, was sent packing tonight after Hugo saved Chloe Burrows
But tonight he made it clear he had no interest in the 28-year-old marketing executive after pieing Sharon Gaffka and AJ Bunker earlier on in the series.
Pulling Georgia for a chat before the recoupling, Hugo said: “For me I have to be completely honest with you, from that first chat I didn’t get that spark.”
To which Georgia sniped: “To be honest Hugo, I had worked that out in my head already.”
But the timing couldn’t have been worse for Georgia as moments later the islanders gathered for a shock recoupling – with Hugo the last lad to pick his girl.
He chose to save his pal Chloe Burrows after she was left single in a shock move by Toby, whose head was turned by Abigail.
He holds a candle for Chloe…
Speaking in her exit speech after leaving the villa, Georgia said about Hugo: “I think we would have been a good match; he was really eloquent, polite.
“I’m not sure why there wasn’t a spark. I think he holds a candle for Lucinda and Chloe…
“I think perhaps unless he’s honest with himself and really goes for that, he’s not going to even explore other options and he just wants to protect his friends and make sure they’re ok, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just obviously in this instance it’s at my expense.
“Maybe he doesn’t really know what he’s looking for.”
This week fans saw the PE teacher friend-zone stunning AJ Bunker, 28, and last week he “sister zoned” Islander Sharon Gaffka.
Both women were soon dumped from the ITV2 show leading other fans to claim Hugo is just there for a holiday.
One person tweeted: “#LoveIsland I’m over Hugo. He’s just looking for a free holiday. He’s never grafted in this series. Send him home.”
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
