However, as his lawyer Ritchie urges him to take the deal, Phil makes a devastating decision to do otherwise, insisting he is not a grass.
Faced with his refusal, DCI Keeble gives him more time to think it over.
Could DCI Keeble’s leniency give Phil a chance to change his mind?
Phil is awash with guilt as he has lied to the owner of Kat’s Cabs, telling her he only faced a prison sentence of a couple of years.
And while he is adamant on not betraying anybody, Phil is risking his own relationship with Kat by preparing himself to prison life.
In another upcoming episode of the long-running BBC drama, Kat will even admit her own feelings to her partner.
Could her admission be the final push needed for Phil to make his decision?
