The ITV series was co-created by Paul Matthew Thompson and Jonathan Fisher.

A second disgruntled viewer added: “@ITV Imagine creating #Ridley as a series, & f***ing it up with the whole Jazz singing b****cks? Why? Could have nailed a proper series there… #sh**houses”
A third fumed: “Wonder if #ridley gets some therapy he’ll stop singing 🤞”
Another fan said: “Loved the entire series, very Vera esque. Hopefully a 2nd series but please no more singing #Ridley”
It comes after viewers expressed their shock when Dunbar’s singing voice was debuted in the very first episode.
