Dianne will draw on her previous experience as a hairdresser before her time as a professional dancer, welcoming celebrity guests into a ‘virtual salon’ on the new show.
The format will invite stars to look back at their hairstyles from years gone by, before fixing them up with a new ‘do.
The 12 weekly episodes will see her chat to guests Joe Sugg, Talia Mar, AJ Odudu, Selling Sunset’s Mary Fitzgerald, Mother Pukka, James McVey, RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Blu Hydrangea, Megan Crabbe, Charlie Craggs, Russell Kane, Jayde Adams and Great British Bake Off’s Laura Adlington.
The show is being recorded remotely, so guests will be sent DIY hair styling products to try their hand at experimental new styles.
Dianne says: ‘I am so excited to be launching my very own podcast with BBC Radio 1, Di’s Salon! I will be inviting celebrities to join me in the cutting room for a chat and a new ‘do – everyone knows that you do all your best talking with your hairdresser. Bring on the hair dye, kirby grips, hairspray and wigs!’
