WWE star and Liverpool fan Sheamus has offered his predictions for tonight’s big match.
The Reds take on Spurs this evening at Anfield knowing a win would send them top of the Premier League – but he’s not so sure they’ll get the job done.
Making his prediction before the game, he said: ‘It’s gonna be Liverpool 3, Spurs 3. You got two of the best attacking lines in the Premier League and probably Europe.
‘Salah, Firmino, Mane and Jota firing [for Liverpool]. Of course, with Spurs you’ve got Son, Kane and Bale coming back into the fold.
‘I think Liverpool’s defence is obviously hammered with injuries so we’re gonna be open up, but we’re gonna be free flowing and scoring.’
The Irishman – who has made no secret of his love for Liverpool over the years – did back last year’s champions to cause Spurs some problems, but they could have to wait for the top spot.
However, regardless of the result he is expecting something special from the game as a whole – especially for the neutral.
‘I think Liverpool are the only team who are gonna be able to open Spurs up better than anybody this season,’ he claimed.
‘But they’re so dangerous as well going forward, and with our back line depleted – I think it’s gonna be a very exciting game, probably one of the games of the season.
‘I firmly believe it’s going to be Liverpool 3, Spurs 3.’
The so-called Celtic Warrior is a lifelong Liverpool fan, and last season he shared a childhood photo to show how long he’s waited for the Reds to win their first Premier League title in 30 years.
He wrote at the time: ‘This is how long it took for @LFC to win the league again… 30 years of pain and anguish but @LFC is back at the top where they belong. To celebrate I’m bring back my bowl haircut from 1990. #ynwa (sic)’
