Estate agents can sometimes try to distract you from some of a property’s flaws in order to get a sale.
But there was no hiding for agents Jeffries & Dibbens when listing this three-bedroom property in Portchester, Hampshire, on Rightmove – as it comes with a huge electricity pylon in the back garden.
If you look beyond the tower, the property boasts a large garden, porch, conservatory, a garage, and a nicely finished interior.
It’s on the market with a guide price of £360,000, perfect for anyone who doesn’t mind the tower taking up much of the lawn space.
Most three-bedroom properties in the area around the same price are either terraced or semi-detached.
Trees and shrubs have also grown around the contraption, giving it an almost rustic, hipster feel.

A description of the house on Rightmove states: ‘Please be advised that within the boundary of this property, namely the back garden, there is a electricity pylon – and it’s unlikely the detail would come as a surprise to anyone browsing the advert as it’s pretty hard to miss.’
They add: ‘Guide price of £360,000-£380,000. Situated in the requested location of The Thicket is this extended and very well presented three bedroom chalet bungalow.
‘The accommodation is provided over two floors and provides three double bedrooms, large lounge, modern kitchen/breakfast room, conservatory, detached garage and ample off road parking to the front.’

While many people might not want a towering structure taking up space in their back garden, we’re sure it has some perks.
At least it’s a bit of a conversation starter with dinner guests.
Or if you’re in a taxi, just point to the tower and tell them to drive towards it.
And if you’re wondering whether it’s safe to live so close to a power line, apparently it is.
Jeffries and Dibbens tells Metro.co.uk they’ve found no issues with the property and the guide price is a generous one.
