Its recent survey found that 18 per cent of respondents agreed that the threat of a second wave of Covid has influenced them to start home improvement projects sooner.
And the same percentage are planning to start home refurbs once the lockdown fully ends.
Ben Dyer, CEO of Powered Now, says that 71 per cent agreed that despite the Coronavirus, they won’t postpone home improvement work.
The sentiment that Britons have shown towards scaling up their home improvements post-lockdown suggests that isolation and quarantine have fuelled a new appreciation for gardens and outdoor space, he added.
Ben said: “Our research has very much confirmed that Brits are eager to have home improvement jobs completed post-lockdown, treating themselves to a little home-based TLC.
“Our Small-to-Medium Enterprise customers are also talking about the pressure to complete jobs as people worry about a second wave.
“As we have seen from the sentiments established in this research, this could in fact help the trades bounce back even quicker as people will rush to hire a tradesperson for their work.”
