Full list of places where Tesco shoppers can now get groceries in one hour from nearly 100 stores

TESCO has added more locations to the list where shoppers can get their groceries in just one hour, with 96 shops offering speedy delivery.

The supermarket’s rapid delivery service named “Whoosh” was launched in May  to ferry items from Tesco to customers’ doors within an hour.

However, it was only in its trial stages and was being tested out at a Midlands store.

In June, Tesco extended the trial to include 11 further Tesco Express stores in London and Bristol.

Now, shoppers in Brighton & Hove, Cambridge, Cardiff, Kent, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, the Midlands, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, Reading, Sheffield and Southampton can make the most of the service too.

However, you’ll have to live near one of the 96 participating stores to book in a slot to get your groceries delivered in super speedy time.

When you’re doing your online shopping on either the app or Tesco’s website you can pop your address in, and then you will be told automatically if Whoosh is available in your area.

You can use Tesco’s store finder too, to see where your closest is.

The service comes directly from the Express stores rather than one big warehouse.

If you do qualify, Whoosh is available from 7am-10pm every day of the week.

It costs £5 per order, which is 50p more than the regular delivery service, Tesco provides from £4.50, but you don’t need to spend a certain amount to place an order.

If your basket is under £15 though, you’ll be charged an additional £2 on top of the £5 cost.

It’s based on the weight and size of products and you’ll be automatically notified as you shop if you need to take anything out of your basket or add anything in, for your order to qualify.

The service works a bit like Deliveroo or UberEats, which many other supermarkets are partnered with for speedy home delivery services.

It’s free to sign up for a Tesco account and check if you can use Whoosh.

You can then choose from 1,700 products, including fresh food, everyday and baby essentials, household products, and much more in the service.

Which other supermarkets offer express delivery?

Sainsburys, Co-op, Aldi and Waitrose all currently offer grocery delivery on Deliveroo, the services mean you can usually get your items within half an hour to an hour of placing an order.

You have to pay around £4 on average for delivery from the stores and sometimes there’s an added premium included to cover Deliveroo drivers costs and more.
