Cashback websites like TopCashback promise to earn you money on your shopping by agreeing offers with retailers which they pass onto customers.
TopCashback is offering a deal to new members only, and shoppers can get £5 cashback at Just Eat if they spend £10 or more on their order.
So that means you can get £10 worth of food for just £5.
As Maccies is listed on Just Eat, you can use the deal to bag yourself free McFlurry treats.
McFlurries cost 99p for a mini one and £1.49 for a regular one.
So you could get as many as five mini ones or three regular ones for free – if you meet the minimum spending limit.
You can even try the limited edition Aero McFlurries in chocolate or mint – which will only be available to buy until Wednesday next week.
To get the deal, you need to be a new TopCashback member.
To register as a new member, sign up for an account by entering your email and creating a password on the TopCashback website.
How do cashback websites work?
They promise to earn you money on your shopping – but how do cashback websites work?
- Cashback sites agree offers with retailers which they pass on to customers
- This can vary from a set amount of money off whatever you are buying, or a percentage of the cost of your purchase
- The sums range from pennies for groceries to more than £100 for some mobile or broadband contracts
- You have to make your purchases by clicking through from the cashback site
- Because the sites drive traffic to retailers, they earn money from brands they support
- Membership of most sites is free – although some offer premium subscriptions which you pay more for.
Once you’ve signed up, head to the takeaways section of the website, and scroll down until you see the Just Eat deal.
Click on the “Get cashback now” button, and you’ll be redirected to the Just Eat website.
Enter your postcode into the search tab, and scroll down until you hit your nearest McDonald’s branch.
You need to spend £10 to get the deal, so place your order and pay at the checkout.
As Just Eat will drop off your order to your door, you’ll also need to factor in the price of delivery.
When The Sun checked prices out, it cost 99p to get orders over £5 delivered to a west London postcode, but this could vary depending on where you’re ordering to.
Once you’ve ordered your meal, head back to the TopCashback website.
The £5 cashback should be added back into your account after a few minutes as long as you ordered correctly and hit the qualifying spending limit.
The offer is available to use now and ends on September 30.
You’ll only be able to transfer the £5 cashback in your TopCashback account into your bank account 14 days after the deal officially ends.
That means you should be able to transfer the money to your account on October 14.
If you’re on a budget and need as much cash to hand as possible, make sure to weigh up whether you’ll be able to wait that long to get your money back.
If you don’t fancy a McDonald’s meal, then you can use the deal on any other restaurant listed on Just Eat’s website.
TopCashback’s deal is not the only one where you could get Maccies treats for less.
McDonald’s is offering a week of deals where My McDonald’s app users can vote which of their favourite meals will be reduced in price the following day.
Customers voted for the McChicken Sandwich over the Filet-O-Fish to be cheaper today, so you can pick one up for 99p instead of £3.19.
You can also get a 99p Cheeseburger for free until next Monday if you’re an app user too.
McDonald’s is making a major change to its loyalty scheme – and you can get a free drink sooner than before.
The fast food favourite recently added two iced frappe drinks to its menu for summer.
The chain has also brought back mozzarella dippers and the Aero McFlurry in two flavours – chocolate and mint.
