GIVING birth is a vulnerable experience and mums often feel paranoid about how their body might look during labour.
But a midwife, from Australia, has revealed exactly what they are thinking while you give birth, and it isn’t what you think.

Posting to TikTok, the midwife who goes by the username,
_ensm0, shared what you think your midwife is thinking vs what they’re actually thinking.
Having a stranger stare at your vagina can be daunting, and you’re mind may catastrophise and assume the midwife thinks you’re disgusting for not waxing.
But that couldn’t be further form the truth says the midwife.
Instead, they’re too busy thinking about the birth: “Baby’s head is really low, this’ll be easy for her.”

Many mum’s have a birthing plan in the hopes they’ll give birth exactly how they want to.
While labour can be unpredictable, the midwife encourages mums-to-be not to feel silly for having one as it means they will do everything they can to ensure you get the birth you want.
“I love a birth plan, I’ll do anything to make sure she gets this,” she revealed.
Finally, the midwife suggested you shouldn’t feel self-conscious about your boobs after giving birth.
While many mums may assume the midwife thinks: “You know when you’re kids have those yogurt packets and they suck all the yogurt out?
“Then there’s just this floppy, wrinkly, empty yogurt packet left over, that’s what your boobs look like.”
In actual fact, the midwives are probably more preoccupied thinking about your nipples and how good they’ll be for feeding.
The video has since gone viral with over 150k views, and many women were grateful for the video which put their mind at ease.
One wrote: “Thank you for this, especially the birth plan.”

“I’m nowhere near family planning but this helps to reassure me as someone who knows I’ll have a birth plan but also be so self- conscious of how I look,” another commented.
A third penned: “I’m due for my second induction in 10 days and I needed to hear this.”
