Treyarch promises an absurd amount of free content for Black Ops Cold War, including the return of the Raid map from Black Ops 2.
It’s been less than a month since Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launched and now Treyarch is gearing up for its first season of new content.
In fact, the studio says that it will be the largest drop of free content in Black Ops’ history, which means it needs a bit longer to finalise everything.
Originally slated to release on December 10, Season One will instead start on December 16.
Though Treyarch obviously doesn’t say, it’s possible that the delay is also so it doesn’t have to compete with Cyberpunk 2077, which is slated for December 10.
Battle royale Call Of Duty: Warzone will also see new additions, namely a new map and mode, alongside over 30 weapons from Black Ops Cold War and a new gulag experience.
Treyarch doesn’t go into too much detail about all the new content, though – probably to keep some of it a surprise for players when it all becomes available.
In preparation for the launch, Treyarch will enable Double XP and Double Weapon XP in Black Ops Cold War from December 12 and offer two additional free bundles for anyone to claim until December 15.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
