The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court on Monday on Giuffre’s 38th birthday, claims that she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York three times as ordered by Epstein.
Giuffre alleges that convicted pedophile Epstein or his alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell instructed her in each of the times to have sex with the royal.
‘Today my attorney filed suit against Prince Andrew for sexual abuse under the Child Victims Act,’ Giuffre said in a statement obtained by People on Monday. ‘As the suit lays out in detail, I was trafficked to him and sexually abused by him.’
The lawsuit states that in one of the incidents, Giuffre was forced to engage in a sex act with the prince at Maxwell’s home in London.
‘During this encounter, Epstein, Maxwell, and Prince Andrew forced Plaintiff, a child, to have sexual intercourse with Prince Andrew against her will,’ the suit reads.
In addition, the suit states that Giuffre and another victim were abused by the prince at Epstein’s mansion in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
‘During this encounter, Maxwell forced Plaintiff, a child, and another victim to sit on Prince Andrew’s lap as Prince Andrew touched her,’ it states. ‘During his visit to New York, Prince Andrew forced Plaintiff to engage in sex acts against her will.’
Giuffre’s lawyer David Boies wrote in the suit that his client ‘feared death or physical injury to herself’ if she did not follow Epstein and Maxwell’s demands.
Giuffre is seeking unspecified damages for battery as well as infliction of emotional distress.
