LUIS FIGO made short work of Roberto Carlos in a game of giants – using a towering mascot to troll the pocket-sized Brazil icon.
Roberto Carlos quickly gets the joke after Luis Figo made his 5ft 6ins Real Madrid team-mate stand next to a lanky mascot
The mascot looks quite sheepish as all-time great Brazil left-back Roberto Carlos notes the height difference
Luis Figo was instantly forgiven for his prank by Real Madrid pal Roberto Carlos as the pair burst into laughter
But his sharpest action came before kick-off when he roped in the tallest mascot to stand next to 5ft 6ins icon Carlos, also 48.
The former left-back soon realised the prank – and roared with laughter.
But although the Real duo impressed out in the middle, they never quite reached the heights of Ronaldo, a mere stripling at 41.
The former Barca wizard conjured up some of the weaves and jinks of his Nou Camp pomp, circa 2003-2008.
Ronaldinho’s midfield team-mate Deco, plus opposite number Ivan Campo in the Real line-up, also gave classy throwback performances.
Real duo Pedro Munitis and Alfonso Perez overturned Ronaldinho’s penalty opener, each netting within two second-half minutes.
Former Barca fringe midfielder Jofre Mateu made it 2-2.
But Rube de la Red hit a fittingly outstanding winner for Real.
No small achievement for Figo, Carlos and Co against a Barca side who looked stronger on paper, with Rivaldo and Javier Saviola backing up Ronaldinho and Deco.
