THE PREMIER League’s most eco-friendly fanbase has been revealed, with several big-name clubs dropping down the table while smaller rivals overtake them.
Leicester City mirrored their 2016 heroics to top the league, with the greenest fanbase in English football.

A survey of 100 fans from each club crowned The Foxes as league champions by asking each a range of green questions on everything from recycling habits to how they travel.

This comes as fans across the country take measures to reduce waste and live greener, especially amid the ongoing cost of living crisis.
Nearly a third don’t leave lights on in an empty room while watching their team in action, while 29 per cent only boil the amount of water they need for their half-time cuppa.
Overall, over 60 per cent of fans believe the beautiful game should take steps to become more sustainable.
