SHEFFIELD UNITED are at risk of being ‘one of the worst teams ever in the Premier League’ – according to Roy Keane.
The Manchester United legend delivered the scathing verdict during half-time with the Blades 2-0 down to Tottenham.
Roy Keane was not impressed with Sheffield United’s display against Tottenham
Chris Wilder’s side went on to lose 3-1 at Bramall Lane thanks to goals from Serge Aurier, Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele.
He said: “A lack of creativity, you think they’d be a bit upbeat after their result the other night, but looking at them today and their points total and everything else that is behind this team, they could go down as one of the worst teams ever to have played in the Premiership.
“I can’t believe what I’m watching, I can’t believe how bad they’ve been.”
The Blades have struggled this season in the Premier League following their ninth-place finish in 2019-20.
They picked up their first league win against Newcastle earlier this month – at the 18th attempt.
Wilder has had to deal with injuries, most notably to centre-back Jack O’Connell, and positive Covid-19 cases.
He has also had to manage off-field incidents, after a Lamborghini believed to belong to striker Lys Mousset was involved in a horror smash.
And they have been guilty of a lack of quality in front of goal, scoring just ten goals in 19 Premier League games – not to mention just one clean sheet this term.
The Blades are now 11 points behind Burnley in 17th having played two games more.
