Wheelchair tennis star Dylan Alcott’s girlfriend has revealed an embarrassing story from the couple’s first time in the bedroom together.
Chantelle Otten is an award-winning sex therapist who has not been afraid to share details about the couple’s sex life.
Chantelle Otten has been very candid about her and Alcott’s sex life
During a live Instagram Q and A session last week, Otten recounted an unfortunate incident from her first time with Alcott.
After listening to a podcast in which a woman revealed she let rip in her partner’s face during a sex act, Otten said: “Which reminds me, the first time I slept with Dyl, he was spooning me and I popped on him.”
Unsurprisingly, Otten’s remark sparked a reaction from her followers, but she soon cleared up what she meant.
Replying to a concerned fan, she clarified: “Haha, I farted.”
Otten, 30, has been with 18-time Grand Slam champion Alcott – who is also a wheelchair basketball star, radio host and motivational speaker – for two years.
The couple have encouraged more people to talk openly about disability and sexuality, to dispel the myth disabled people don’t have sex.
In an interview with Stellar magazine published earlier this month, Otten explained how it was ‘important’ people knew she was having the ‘best sex of her life’.
She said: “A lot of people think people with a disability don’t have sex.
Alcott has won 18 Grand Slam singles and doubles titles
“But I’m having the best sex of my life and it’s important for me to say that.
“There are people out there who might have a crush on someone with a disability but aren’t confident to ask questions about it.
“They need to know that these sex lives are important and erotic and achievable, and they can build a life together.
“Dylan and I are quite private but it’s important to get the word out.
“For me, working with people and having them know I’m in a relationship with someone with a disability is great.”
Alcott, also 30, was born with a tumour on his spine, but despite successful surgery to remove it, he was left paraplegic.
Alcott and Otten met after she attended one of his book readings, before going public with their relationship last year.
Since then, Otten has been seen at a number of Alcott’s tournaments, including his Wimbledon title in 2019.
